New River Gorge Fest
RUBBIN RUBBERZ RAFT RACE: Monday, May 28th. We are super excited to bring you this unique raft race! This race will be held in the lower section of the NRG. The format of the race will be a head-to-head sprint race broken up into multiple elimination rounds. Each heat will be held in a different rapid. For example Heat 1 will be held in Upper Railroad rapid. The winner of each heat will move onto the next heat. Raft length will be 14 ft (give or take 1 foot in length. Each team will have 4 paddlers. A video with a better explanation will soon be posted. GET YOUR TEAM TOGETHER! ACE ADVENTURE USED GEAR SWAP: Memorial Day weekend. Bring in your used gear to sell! Reel Paddling Film Festival: Saturday, May 26th. Come join us at the Fayetteville Downtown Theater for a night of some of the best river and whitewater films! 2018 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour – Huntington, WV
Marshall Campus Recreation is bringing the Banff Mountain Film Festival to the Tri-State yet again in 2018! The event will be held at the Keith-Albee Theatre in downtown Huntington on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7pm. Started in 1976, the Banff Mountain Film Festival is a group of inspiring, adventurous, and thought-provoking films that are shown in over 40 countries and reach more than 500,000 people each year. Tickets are $10 each for non-students and FREE for Marshall students. To pick up your free student tickets, please visit the Marshall Artist Series Box Office. Undependent Films presents ” The Five Dollar 15 Minute Film Festival”
Experience the wonder of independent films at Towngate Theatre. Watch 16 short films (15 minutes or less) presented by Undependent Films. The screenings take place from 4-6 p.m. and 7:30-9:30.
