The Greenbrier Valley Chorale will present Faure's Requiem in D Minor with Chamber Ensemble and Soloists. The event is in commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11 and is in memory of the West Virginia communities devastated by floods and those who lost their lives. Faure said of his most famous work-- "it is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest." The concert will be held at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for college students and $5 for children grades K-12, and can be purchased on the Chorale website or at the door. For those who would like to learn more about Faure and his music, there will be a free lectire by Dr. James Caplinger at the church at 1:30pm.
