The 70th annual Mountaineer Week will be held Friday, October 20th through Sunday, October 29th. Events every day of the week to include the Quilt Show, Family Fun Day, Mon-Valley Model Railroad Display, Craft Fair, Pepperoni Roll Day, Fiddle Contest, Tellabration, Mountaineer Idol, Ghost Tour, Square Dance, Pearl S. Buck Day, Country Vittles Dinner and much more!
Solar Eclipse – Family Fun Day
Discover what solar eclipses are, how and why they happen and learn safe ways to view this brilliant phenomenon! Experience a special demonstration of a solar eclipse and participate in exciting hands-on stations. Learn about the sun’s ultra-violet rays; gaze through a telescope in search of celestial objects; and create a pin-hole viewer to take home for the safe viewing of the real solar eclipse happening on August 21
Choose Your Own Adventure Family Fun Day!
Explore a world of art and science! A variety of demonstrations including: lycopodium fireball demonstrations, large bubbles, viscosity painting, sidewalk chalk art, artist and scientist hat designs, and so much more! Adult tickets: $9 Children tickets: $7.50 Members: FREE
C.A. House Music “Family Fun Day”
C. A. House Music's Family Fun Day at Wheeling Heritage Port! Stop out for a of family fun full of activites, entertainment, food, and more! FREE ADMISSION!* All proceeds go to the C. A. House Music Scholarship fund. Inflatables provided by Kurt James Fun & Games: 1-5pm Balloon Animals and Face Painting: 1-3pm Craft table with The Children's Museum of the Ohio Valley, instrument 'petting zoo', vendors and more! Instrument raffles include a Martin Guitar, Remo drum baskets, and more TBA! Tentative Main Stage Schedule as follows: Main Stage: 1 – 2:30pm: Drum Competition (Winner gets a Yamaha Gigmaker!) 3pm – 4pm: Magician Michael Strough 4:15-5pm: R.J. Gaudio - Troubadour 5:15-6pm: Roger Hoard & Dan Jones 6:15-7:30: C. A. House Music Band All proceeds go to the C. A.
