Dunbar Fall Festival (Street Fair)

City of Dunbar Annual Street Fair - Arts and Crafts, food vendors and live entertainment. There will be special games and activities for kids of all ages on Saturday afternoon through 8:00 p.m. Friday night's entertainment will be Grass Stains Bluegrass Band, Stonestreet Band and The Chase. Saturday's entertainment will include No Regret Band, Tommy Griffith, The Black Diamond and Kenny Evans from the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge. Sunday's entertainment will include, but not limited to, Dunbar Ministries combined Choir and Squire Parsons will perform at 3:00 p.m.

Independence Day (4th of July) Celebration at Cacapon Resort State Park

Creative fun for kids and for the adults, a cool place to relax and celebrate the 4th of July. Starting at 10am at Cacapon State Park (near the picnic area and Nature Center) will be the 12 Habits For Wonderful People booth which will have poster “blanks” and lots of fun and creative materials from glitter to stickers to stampers for kids and adults alike to explore their artistic side. Participants will be asked to make Wonderful People posters for one of the 12 months of their choice with uplifting messages for each month. The hand-made posters will be distributed to our Ambassadors and displayed throughout our community. Listen to Patriotic Music as the Morgan Community Concert Band as they perform at the Gazebo. WV Day Festival

The 4th Annual West Virginia Day Festival will be held at the Holly Gray Park in Braxton County just miles from the Flatwoods exit and nestled in the beautiful mountains of North central WV. 2016 Mountain State Maple Day

On March 19, 15 maple producers and their partners from all across West Virginia will open their doors to the public. You’ll have a chance to see how the sweet water is harvested and turned into marketable products. You can sample the goodness, sit down for a maple meal, and purchase your favorite maple merchandise. The WV Maple Syrup Festival in Randolph County is also taking place on March 19. West Virginia Chocolate Festival

The West Virginia Chocolate Festival celebrates all that is chocolate in West Virginia. It is the premier event to highlight the chocolate industry in the state. Chocolate vendors from around the state bring their confections to sell, while there are children's activities and local entertainment for all to enjoy. The festival is from 10 am to 4 pm at Ripley Elementary School on Second Avenue. The parade begins at 11:00 downtown and ends at the festival site. This is a free event with plenty of free parking as well as FREE CHOCOLATE SAMPLES. From chocolate suckers to fudge to chocolate pop corn to chocolate molded candy. We have it all! Bring the family and enjoy a day of fun and delicious chocolate.
