Gallery Opening | Good Enough to Eat
Tamarack’s David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery is hosting Good Enough to Eat*, an art exhibition. A traditional still life of fruits and veggies, abstract interpretations of "food porn," a classic teacup and saucer combo, conceptual social commentary of the food industry, an unexpected serving platter; everything food related is on the menu for this exhibition. Good Enough to Eat* ..., is an exhibition of fine art and craft celebrating food. Tamarack's David L. Dickirson Fine Art Gallery is seeking a vast breadth of two and three dimensional artwork, decorative and functional, in any media that corresponds with the theme of food. The exhibition will feature artists’ works from around the state, in a multitude of media. The opening reception is August 11, 5pm - 7pm, in the gallery, with live music by Sam Stephens.
TWO Watercolor Exhibitions “Journeys”
Walter Shroyer's recently completed work in collages and watercolors are inspired by postage stamps collected by his father. Linda Weatherly's pattern and design fill her watercolors bringing to mind quilts and carpets, upon which stories can be told.
