Easter Buffet and Egg Hunt at The Resort at Glade Springs

Everyone is invited to join The Resort at Glade Springs for our annual spring tradition: our Easter Buffet and Egg Hunt, Sunday April 16 2017 with seatings at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm in our Bright Ballroom. Enjoy a sumptuous buffet of traditional Easter favorites prepared under the direction of our Executive Chef Randy Forsythe. Then, make sure you have your cameras ready for our Easter Egg Hunt! Kids will delight in finding hundreds of prize-filled eggs hidden throughout the Resort, and will have a chance to meet the Big Bunny, too! Buffet is $36 per person for adults, $14 for kids age 6-12 (plus tax and gratuity), and free for children under age six. Easter Egg Hunt is included in buffet price. All-inclusive packages with deluxe accommodations also available. Call the Glade Springs Activities Concierge for reservations at 304-763-0876.

Egg-cellent Easter Extravaganza

Most people know the rhyme by Beatrix Potter: “Here comes Peter Cottontail, Hoppin’ down the bunny trail, Hippity, hoppity, hippity, hoppity, Easter’s on its way…” This year, we have decided that everyone one should have a chance to “hop down a bunny trail.” Join us for games and activities scattered around the park in a path that the bunny just might have taken once upon a time. Due to mixed reviews from our event last year, there will be no formal egg hunt, but it is not entirely out of the question that the bunny could have dropped some here or there. This event is not a race, but meant to be more of a walk with occasional challenges where participants could sometimes earn candy or a small toy. Feel free to bring a basket and a camera as we have it on good authority that the Bunny might make an appearance. Stop by any time during the event to participate. Being “on-time” is not required. https://www.facebook.com/events/267312993698361/

Easter Eggstravaganza 2017

For only the third time in our 85 year history, we will open our doors early to host an Easter Weekend EGGstravaganza over the April 13-16, 2017 weekend. Last time, over 200 guests joined us for several days of family-filled festivities and, quite frankly, we couldn’t think of a better way to begin our 2017 season! We so enjoy seeing all the familiar faces–as well as welcome new ones too! Our guest of honor, the Easter Bunny, will make appearances all weekend. Friday night, guests will have a chance to win fabulous Capon prizes during an Easter Egg Bingo party. Who will take home the grand prize of a free night stay for two this time? Saturday afternoon will feature Easter egg hunts and lawn games for all ages. Everyone will be singing and dancing to the silly “Happy Easter (hop, hop)” song- which is still etched into the brains of past participants! We will end Saturday evening with a long-standing Capon tradition—a campfire sing-a-long and hot dog roast. If the temperatures are comfortable enough, we will hold the Sunday Sunrise Service up on the Hill, offering a joyous celebration of new life. April usually means crisp mornings and evenings so look forward to cozy fires in the Main House fireplaces. Maintenance supervisor Bub Brill will keep them stocked with fresh split logs. As far as fun contests, if you are good at guessing, you could win the new Capon water bottle if you can determine how many jelly beans are in it! We will all be anticipating the usual delicious Capon feasts with a few extra festive surprises!
