The East End Bazaar is an open-air artisan market featuring a variety of functional and collectible arts and crafts.
The East End Bazaar will host as a FestivALL Fall event. Hops & Heat is an Appalachian Craft Beer and Chili Cook-off Event celebrating the close of the Open-Air Bazaar season, and will encompass over 30 craft beers from more than 10 Appalachian breweries and crown the Bazaar’s best chili in a chili cook-off competition between 10 + Bazaar cooks.
The Bazaar provides local and regional artists and craftspeople a much-needed venue to display and sell their wares. The selection you will discover at the Bazaar includes an assortment of paintings, jewelry, sculptures, stained glass, handmade crafts (such as soaps, textiles, and baskets,) photography, value-added food (such as jams and honey,) pottery, hand-blown glass, and much more. Aside from our skilled artisans, local musicians and performers are showcased each week at the Bazaar, along with a variety of local food vendors and producers of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables. The Bazaar offers more than a place to support and display locally-sourced talent and products. It enhances the aesthetic character of the Washington Street, East and Ruffner Avenue intersection that remained a vacant lot for year. The market aids in economic development by encouraging entrepreneurialism and tourism, and it contributes to the East End’s ongoing revitalization as a thriving, vibrant arts district.
