Main Street Morgantown will be promote Small Business Saturday, November 25th, this year. We will hold this event Downtown from 10 am – 4 pm. This year shoppers will have the opportunity to win one (1) of four (4) downtown gift baskets, valued up to $500. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be here for parents to take their kids pictures. Arts Walk
This year’s ARTS WALK, sponsored by Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau, Main Street Morgantown, Monongalia Arts Center (MAC) and Arts Monongahela, will take place on Friday, September 22 in downtown Morgantown. Arts Mon, MAC and Appalachian Gallery are information points for the Arts Walk– you can get the inside scoop on where the artists are and what’s happening downtown. Arts Mon is located next to Huntington Bank on the corner of High Street and Pleasant Street. Monongalia Arts Center is easy to find, on the corner of High Street and Kirk Street and Appalachian Galley in on Walnut Street across for the parking garage. Participating businesses and places with artists are marked by lit tiki torches. Plan the perfect Friday night. From 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., you can stroll through over forty downtown businesses and see artwork from local artists. As you stroll through downtown collect four fantastic bookmarks featuring Morgantown Area Artists. MedExpress Kids Day
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., kids will take over the downtown with more than 60 scheduled events. Kids of all ages will learn about safety, play games, receive free goodies from area businesses, make crafts, and play in the giant sand box. Enjoy live entertainment, trolley display and more. Important Information: Information booths will be stationed at Dairy Queen (444 High Street)at Citizens Bank (265 High Street). First aid kits will also be located at the information booths. Restrooms will be available at the Morgantown Public Safety Building (300 Spruce Street)and Morgantown Public Library (373 Spruce Street.
Chocolate Lovers Day
Main Street Morgantown is hosting its 17th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Day on April 22, 2017. Chocolate Lovers’ Day will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown and Historic Wharf Downtown of Morgantown, WV. Chocolate Lovers’ Day is a one-day chocolate extravaganza inviting the public to indulge themselves in an array of chocolate creations. For only $5 per person (children under 5 are free), registrants may sample tasty chocolate treats at each business. On Chocolate Lovers’ Day, registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Monongalia Arts Center (107 High St., beside Hotel Morgan), Tanner’s Alley (416 High St.), Arts Monongahela (201 High St.), beside Huntington Bank. Registration will end at 2:30pm.
