Color Me Au-Some 5K Walk/Run

Participants are plastered with color bombs of dry tempera paint powder at stations throughout the course. Participants are encouraged to wear white t-shirts to engage in the “Color Me Process.” The Color Me Au-Some 5K course incorporates one of the city’s oldest and most recognizable landmarks, the Wheeling Suspension Bridge. The course starts at the picturesque waterfront, goes through downtown, over the Suspension Bridge, around Wheeling Island, back over the Suspension Bridge, and down Main Street returning to the Waterfront. Following the race, participants can enjoy refreshments, door prizes, awards ceremony, and music. Awards will be given to the top 5 female and male walkers and runners, and the top three female and male finishers in the following categories: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, top finisher in 70+. Children ages 3 & under will pay no registration fee, but parents must register them and sign the waiver. All participants that register as walkers MUST walk. If you register as a runner, you are permitted to run and walk.

A Handmade Christmas in Shepherdstown

You're invited to a free 100% handmade arts and crafts show in historic Shepherdstown, WV inside Town Run Tap House, featuring 17 local vendors. Shop for handmade gifts from soaps, lotion, jewelry, paintings, purses, knit items, and much more. The Tap House will have food, drink, and even a children's play area to entertain the kids while parents browse work from local artists. Door prizes! For our 3rd year, we are excited to expand this event to 2 weekends, with different amazing artists at each one: Saturday, Nov. 24th (Small Business Saturday) and Saturday, Dec. 15th! 10am to 4pm Current vendors include: (more to be added) Nov. 24th: Wild Rose Soap Co. Shanty Boat Night

Ticket price is $35 and includes dinner, entertainment, and door prizes (valued over $3,000). Limited number of tickets being sold. Dinner is served at 6:30PM and includes: Baked steak, green beans, mashed potatoes/gravy, broccoli casserole, Church of God salad, homemade rolls, coconut cream pie or cherry pie, coffee, tea, and lemonade. 1937 FLOOD BAND performs at 7:30PM

Blue Ridge Arts & Crafts Festival

Join us for the 2nd annual Blue Ridge Arts & Crafts Festival, to be held at the historic Peter Burr Farm in Shenandoah Junction, WV, featuring over 50 Blue Ridge artists and artisans, live music, local food and drinks, free children's activities, tours of the historic property, artist demos, door prizes, and more, with free admission for everyone.

Easter Carnival at the Capitol

Governor Jim Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice invite you to the annual Easter Carnival on the North Plaza of the State Capitol. There will be games, face painting, food vendors, door prizes at noon and photos with the Easter Bunny. It's free and open to the public.

Hinton’s Annual Christmas Bazaar

Held the first Saturday in December every year, the Christmas Bazaar rings in the holiday season through live music, great local vendors, a Christmas Parade, Santa Claus, and recognition of Summers County High School's Snow Queen. 13th Annual FOP/FOPA Open Car and Vintage Bike Show

The 13th Annual car and bike show is open to all makes and models. Free dash plaques, 50/50 drawing, $15 entry fee, over 50 awards, food and drinks, vendor spaces, blood pressure clinic, and door prizes. Breakfast at 7 a.m. Awards start at 2 p.m. Join the WV Blue Knights with the FOP Car and Bike Show Motorcycle Ride and Picnic on June 4.
