Mercer County Heritage Festival
Step into the past and relive the days of Appalachian History. The Heritage Festival features Civil War storytellers, farm animals, re-enactors such as Gen. Robert E. Lee and wife, Abraham Lincoln and wife, Booker T. Washington, Mark Twain, Ostenaco (Cherokee Warrior), craftsmen, vendors, food, Native American presenters , African American presenters, blacksmithing, spinning wheel, weaving, crafts, barn dance, railroad and coal mining displays, Appalachian music, flatfooting, Ladie's tea, and much more! Friday is educational day for schools. Veteran's commemoration on Saturday and Sunday with door prizes for veterans. Civil War Era church service on Sunday morning. Small admission fee.
