The City of Nitro hosts its Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Saturday, Dec. 9 starting at 4 p.m. The parade route runs from Pickens Road/1st Avenue to 21st Street and then on to Living Memorial Park. Officials will light the city’s Christmas tree, and free pictures with Santa and cocoa will be available.
On December 1, 2017, join us for the annual Christmas Light Up activities: Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. on the garden plaza of the International Mother's Day Shrine, followed by Christmas caroling inside the National Historic Landmark structure where Mother's Day began. Caroling will be followed by a reception in the downstairs lecture room. Come back on Saturday, Dec. 2 for the annual Community Christmas Parade and Gigantic Toy Giveaway in downtown Grafton. Santa and the gang travel through downtown Inwood to kick up some holiday cheer and kickoff the Christmas season. Santa will be joined by festive floats, decorated cars, firetrucks and more for this great annual tradition.
