It’s Christmas Again Holiday Family Concert
Get in the holiday spirit and bring the whole family to a great concert with MAC Glee, a community chorus sponsored by the MAC: Monongalia Arts Center. Special guest entertainment with STEEL AWAY steel drum band. Lively, fun, sure to be a great toe tapping time!
D&E Concert Choir presents “Lessons and Carols”
The Davis & Elkins College Concert Choir and Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church will present the annual gift of music to the community with “Lessons and Carols” at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 8 at the church. The event, which is free and open to the public, shares the themes of light, hope and the birth of Christ through lyrics, hymns and readings. Davis & Elkins College President Chris A. Wood will present a Christmas Reflection. The choir, under the direction of Liz Marshall-MacVean and accompanied by Donna Baroudi-Huffman, will present “The Celtic Rose: Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming” by Sheldon Curry, “Born in Bethlehem” by Jay Althouse, and “Adeste Fideles” by Greg Gilpin, among other selections. A reception will follow in the Church Fellowship Hall.
