29th Annual Chocolate Extravaganza

Do you like Chocolate? Do you like freshly baked, cooked, grilled, and melted chocolate? If so, then you will LOVE the 29th annual Chocolate Extravaganza held at Temple Shalom in Wheeling, WV. This event has a long history of being sweet, savory and downright delicious! For 29 years, Temple Shalom has hosted a myriad of different local and national Chocolatiers who come and make some of the most unique and yummy chocolate treats you can imagine! Upon entry you will make your way through each station where you will be given a sample from every unique vendor. Some of our returning chocolatiers include: Valley Cheese of Wheeling, WV, Sarris Candy of Canonsburg, PA, Ye Olde Alpha of Wheeling, WV, Mmm Popcorn of Wheeling and The Cheese Melt of Wheeling, WV–just to name a few. We also have a few vendors making their Extravaganza debut and they are Brew Keepers of Wheeling, WV, and Dairy Queen of Wheeling, WV.

Chocolate Lovers Day

Main Street Morgantown is hosting its 17th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Day on April 22, 2017. Chocolate Lovers’ Day will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown and Historic Wharf Downtown of Morgantown, WV. Chocolate Lovers’ Day is a one-day chocolate extravaganza inviting the public to indulge themselves in an array of chocolate creations. For only $5 per person (children under 5 are free), registrants may sample tasty chocolate treats at each business. On Chocolate Lovers’ Day, registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Monongalia Arts Center (107 High St., beside Hotel Morgan), Tanner’s Alley (416 High St.), Arts Monongahela (201 High St.), beside Huntington Bank. Registration will end at 2:30pm.

10th Annual WV Chocolate Festival

Ripley will host the 10th annual WV Chocolate Festival on Saturday, April 8. The chocolate parade in downtown Ripley begins at 11 a.m. Vendors will offer everything chocolate at Ripley Elementary from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Afternoon entertainment will be provided by the bluegrass group The Cossin Brothers and the country sounds of Corey Hager.

Chocolate Fest & Book Faire

From cupcakes to truffles, local and regional authors and chocolate-themed activities, visitors won't find a more decadent or enjoyable festival than the Chocolate Festival and Book Faire April 23, hosted by Main Street Martinsburg. Local businesses throughout downtown host authors for book signings and discussions, as well as display chocolate-themed specials. Guests can also tour a local chocolate shop, sample cupcakes from a cupcake competition and watch "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" throughout this day-long adventure.

West Virginia Chocolate Festival

The West Virginia Chocolate Festival celebrates all that is chocolate in West Virginia. It is the premier event to highlight the chocolate industry in the state. Chocolate vendors from around the state bring their confections to sell, while there are children's activities and local entertainment for all to enjoy. The festival is from 10 am to 4 pm at Ripley Elementary School on Second Avenue. The parade begins at 11:00 downtown and ends at the festival site. This is a free event with plenty of free parking as well as FREE CHOCOLATE SAMPLES. From chocolate suckers to fudge to chocolate pop corn to chocolate molded candy. We have it all! Bring the family and enjoy a day of fun and delicious chocolate.
