The West Virginia Hitchers

The original “Hitchers” was very guitar-centric with pedal steel and percussion layered on top. The new “WV Hitchers” is a more authentic Folk-Americana sound, relying on the powerful songwriting and smooth vocals of Maria that melds with the strength of the lead guitar position, now occupied by Chuck on his pedal steel. Dan and Creed fill out the mix with Dan’s subtle and steady percussion as well as Creed’s tastefully rich bass lines. Tickets $5, kids 6 and under get in free.

Halftime String Band

The Halftime boys have entertained audiences from coast to coast with their unique blend of acoustic Americana music. Often described as “jam grass”, the band, while having a strong bluegrass influence, does not include the standard elements of a traditional bluegrass band. (There is no banjo or fiddle in the group), and the song selection covers a wide array of musical styles. In addition to an eclectic song selection, the band also performs a number of original compositions. Halftime String Band consists of: Jason Jaros (guitar and vocals), Fred Crozier (mandolin and vocals) and Bob Spangler (upright bass and vocals). A “Halftime” show brings audiences to their feet and puts smiles on their faces. Tickets are $5, kids 6 and under get in free.
