Boy Scout Badge Weekend
Select weekends are set aside for boy scout troops to visit the Green Bank Observatory and complete activities to earn their astronomy merit badge. Scouts and Chaperones stay in our affordable bunkhouse ($10/person/night, $200/night minimum). Camping is also available in a designated area on the campus ($5/person/night, $150/night minimum). As we will be soldering electronic kits as part of the program, there is a $5.00/scout charge to cover the cost of the materials. Our Electronics Badge weekend will be September 15-17, 2017 We begin activities promptly at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, but offer the bunkhouse on Friday night for groups who have a far distance to travel. Space is limited.
