Thurmond Family Triathlon

Beginner friendly family triathlon held in the heart of the New River gorge. Make memories with your family as you bike, paddle, and run.

Thurmond Triathlon

Bring the entire family and come make memories in the heart of the New River Gorge. This beginner friendly triathlon starts at the historic Thurmond Train Depot, where participants will make their way across the bridge over the scenic New River and bike 2 miles to Stonecliff Beach. From there, the race moves to the New River for a 1.5 mile span of easy paddling on calm waters ( ducky boats are available with pre-registration). In the last leg of the race, racers will run from the Dun Glen Day Use Area and make their way back into Thurmond, running a 2-mile loop of the town.

Mountain Bike Camp Womens Weekend

Learn to ride like a girl as women riders of all ability levels come together for a weekend of personal progression and skill building. New to biking? No problem. Already killing it on gnarly roots and rocks? That’s cool, too. We’ll break into groups according to skill level for one-on-one-like professional coaching in a team environment. Make new friends, reconnect with old ones and sling some mud too!

Mountaineer Strong Race

Join us in Almost Heaven--West Virginia--and flex those mountaineer muscles. For the inaugural Mountaineer Strong, racers will whitewater raft with a guide on Class III-V rapids down the New River, mountain bike on amazing trails in the New River Gorge, and trek through the beautiful ACE Adventure Resort property. This Appalachian state, covered with rugged mountains and river valleys, has long been known for its epic outdoor pursuits. Once you finish this race, we hope you’ll have a deeper understanding of WV’s state motto: Montani Semper Liberi (“Mountaineers are always free”).
