Wheels of Hope Bicycle Ride
This 10th annual race features three routes ranging from 29 to 107 miles, each traversing paved country roads with farmland views and mountain vistas. All rides begin and end in historic Lewisburg, voted "The Coolest Small Town in America" in 2011 by Budget Travel magazine. All registrations placed before July 1, 2016 will be guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt. Pre-registration and packet pick-up from 4-7pm Friday night at the Historic General Lewis Inn. Saturday morning registration opens at 6:30am on the WVSOM campus. Ride will begin and end at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine on N. Lee Street in downtown Lewisburg. Riders depart at 8am on all routes, which will offer well-stocked rest stops at 20 mile intervals. After the ride, enjoy hot showers and an after party from 2-5pm.
