2018 National Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships

See amateur boxing at its best, on the grassroots level. Approximately 125 athletes are expected to compete in the 2018 National Hometown Heroes Boxing Championships Feb. 16 – 18 at the Beni Kedem Shriners Center in Charleston. The program works with athletes from the age of 8 up to develop individual integrity, character, physical and mental fitness, and personal objectives through the competitive sport of boxing. This competition is a USA Boxing-sanctioned event, and participants are matched based on age, weight, and experience. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded, as are team trophies and special awards. Enjoy the thrill of the fight and high-caliber sportsmanship while supporting youth boxing at its finest. Children’s Fun Run

The Charleston Distance Run's Children's Fun Run is for ages 4-12. The run will take place on Clendenin Street and will loop between Quarrier and Lee Streets. The distance of the race will be divided up into 3 different age groups. There is no cost to participate. On-site registration is available at Beni Kedem the day of located at 100 Quarrier Street.
