Circa Blue Fest
Blues, BBQ and camping come together for a four-day festival featuring more than 20 amazing bands, several songwriting workshops, delicious food and more. This rain-or-shine event features an indoor arena with seating for 1,000 and an outdoor amphitheater surrounded by tree shaded seating. This event is kid-friendly. Camping facilities and bath houses are available on-site.
Elkins First Friday- Blues and Barbecues
As the leaves start to turn, but there is still sunshine and warmth, September is the perfect month to spend in Elkins, West Virginia. Blues and Barbecue First Friday is the finale of the season. Meat will be smoking all day long stirring up that hungry feeling deep within your stomach to come out and listen to the blues in the evening while eating. Help us welcome Davis and Elkins students back into town with this end of the season celebration!
Downtown Throwdown – BBQ & Brewfest
Our premier fall event in downtown Parkersburg has quickly become the Downtown Throwdown BBQ and Brewfest. Our Brewfest features many of West Virginia’s craft beers. Attendees will have the option to purchase various BBQ and other food items from their choice of food vendors. Most vendors accept cash only, but there are ATM’s in the vicinity of the event. At the end of the evening, attendees are encourage to cast their vote for the favorite BBQ item in the ballot box at the main gate. At the end of the evening, our winner will be announced and receive their award. Local entertainment provides this event with the atmosphere to sit back, relax and enjoy the evening. This event is made possible with the support of the Parkersburg Jaycees and other sponsors.

Back Roads & BBQ @ the Hamilton Round Barn
The West Augusta Historical Society hosts a monthly concert at the Hamilton Round Barn in Mannington. The feature band is Back Roads. Dinners and snacks available for purchase.
October Apple Whiskey Fest and Cook-out
While the autumn days are still warm and the nights start to cool there will be Bluegrass and New Grass Music , a cook-out (BBQ), fresh apple cider, apple whiskey and a new batch of Apple Brandy among other spirits to taste.
Charley West BBQ Fest
Enjoy BBQ from the best commercial and backyard BBQ chefs in the Kanawha Valley! The public will be able to purchase 10 tasting tickets for $10 and the opportunity to vote for their favorite backyard BBQ. A panel of judges will do a blind judging of the Best Pulled Pork, Best Ribs, Best Sauce, and Wildcard for any entrants who wish to compete. Commercial BBQ vendors and Proud Eagle beverage distributor will be present for those who wish to purchase their products. Commercial BBQ vendors at the event include: Big Joe’s Blues BBQ Dem 2 Brothers and a Grill Mountain Que Rollin Smoke BBQ If great BBQ isn’t enough to entice you, we will also enjoy great music from local bands throughout the afternoon! The lineup includes: 12:00 – 1:15 PM Josh Pantry Christian 1:30 – 2:45 PM Knockin’ Spirits 3:00 – 4:15 PM Your Lucky Stars 4:30 – 5:45 PM GrooveHeavy Between sets, Big Jer and His Rockin’ Mandolin will be performing. Art from children who have entered The Charley West BBQ Fest Youth Art Contest will also be on display during the event. Winners of this competition will be announced.
