A WV Author Book Talk with John Mihalyo

Trace Adkins

Trace Adkins has roared back into 2016 with the release of “Jesus and Jones,” his first single with BBR Music Group’s Wheelhouse Records. Lecture – “Early Native Americans in West Virginia: The Fort Ancient Culture”

Based on research for her book, Darla I. Spencer, Author and Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA), of the same title, Ms. Spencer will present an illustrated summary of what is currently known about the Fort Ancient people in West Virginia. A book signing will follow the lecture.

Public Talk Unpacking Privilege

Authors and international speakers Tiffany Jana and Matthew Freeman will present a talk titled Unpacking Privilege at 10 a.m. Monday, January 16 in Myles Center for the Arts Harper-McNeeley Auditorium on the campus of Davis & Elkins College. Open to the public, the event is part of D&E’s First-Year Symposium focusing on democracy. Admission is free.
