Join us for America's only 15-mile race!! This is a scenic but challenging course, starting at our majestic State Capitol, and taking you throughout Charleston!

Walk for Freedom

Walk for Freedom is a walk to bring awareness to Human Trafficking. It takes place in countries across the world on October 14th and we are bringing it Charleston. It was started by and organization called a21 and their main goal, other then ending Human Trafficking, is to reach, rescue, and restore victims of Human Trafficking. We will start at Haddad Riverfront Park and walk down Kanawha Blvd to the Capitol building and back. Distance is a little over a 5k. Ogden Newspapers 5K Run & 5K Walk for Health

8:15 a.m. The 5K Run and 5K Walk For Health prizes will be given in the Open division. Race towels, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available to participants. Participants will receive one food voucher, and pre-registered participants are guaranteed a Dri-Fit shirt. Also in 2017, the Race Committee has determined that all 5K participants will receive a race medal.

Bark in the Park with Pet Helpers 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk & Festival

Registrations begins at 8 a.m., 5K race begins at 9 a.m., and a 5k Race/Walk with dog at 10 a.m. There will be over 60 vendors including food trucks, various food vendors, and miscellaneous pet and family oriented activities. Registration is $25 per entrant. Early registration before April 1, 2016 is $20 each. Family discount is 4 persons @ $65 and groups of 30 or more can register @ $15 each.
