Appalachian Du/Triathlon
The Appalachian Du/Tri is a perfect challenge for the seasoned athlete or first-time participant. It offer two races, a sprint duathlon or sprint triathlon, each with a team option. The triathlon consists of a 550m swim and the duathlon starts with a 1-mile run. Both events then transition to a 13.25 mile bike ride on paved roads, followed by a 5K on gravel and paved roads. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and chip timing is used. The setting is beautiful Lake Sherwood Recreational Area and onsite camping is available.

Ogden Newspapers 5K Run & 5K Walk for Health
8:15 a.m. The 5K Run and 5K Walk For Health prizes will be given in the Open division. Race towels, bottled water and fresh fruit will be available to participants. Participants will receive one food voucher, and pre-registered participants are guaranteed a Dri-Fit shirt. Also in 2017, the Race Committee has determined that all 5K participants will receive a race medal.

27th Annual Point Pleasant Regatta
We provide free concerts during the three day weekend free of charge. Do not miss your chance to see up-and-coming Nashville acts, tribute bands, and local artist grace the Riverfront Park stage at NO COST to you. The parade will be on July 1 at 11 a.m. Line will be at 10 a.m. at the Board of Education Office (Central School) on Main Street. July 1st : Parade 11 a.m.; Fireworks 10 p.m. 5K Run; Pageants; Pretty Bay Contest; Free Concerts; Kids Day with free games and activities. Fireworks Saturday evening. The Regatta is an alcohol-free event.
22nd Annual Greater Clarksburg 10K Race

Watoga State Park Mountain Challenge Half Marathon & 5K
Trail running - It's a challenge. Two races both begin Saturday, August 13th at 8:30 a.m. from the Beaver Creek Campground at Watoga State Park. Bark in the Park with Pet Helpers 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk & Festival
Registrations begins at 8 a.m., 5K race begins at 9 a.m., and a 5k Race/Walk with dog at 10 a.m. There will be over 60 vendors including food trucks, various food vendors, and miscellaneous pet and family oriented activities. Registration is $25 per entrant. Early registration before April 1, 2016 is $20 each. Family discount is 4 persons @ $65 and groups of 30 or more can register @ $15 each. Get ready to run for your life as zombies have been unleashed at ACE Adventure Resort this Halloween. Compete in a 5k run where you will encounter obstacles and the undead ready to eat your brains. Can you escape the feeding frenzy and finish the race or will you end up becoming a zombie yourself? Prizes for the top finishers who survive the course. Want to be undead? Sign up to be one of the zombies and let us give you a horrific makeover complete with blood bath. Prizes for the zombies who claim the most victims.
