Enjoy these Summer Music Festivals every week in Almost Heaven
Summer in Almost Heaven means warm weather, school’s out, and weekly music festivals begin. Starting after Memorial Day, West Virginia is home to weekly concerts where you can round up the family and enjoy some great live performances, all for free.
Live on the Levee – Charleston
Taking place every Friday evening from May – August, Live on the Levee is the place to be on a Friday in the Capital City. Each week head to Haddad Riverfront Park to enjoy some of the best live music Charleston has to offer. While admission is free, there will be many local food and drink vendors so be sure to bring your money to try it all. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. so you’ll want to get there early and secure a front-row seat.
Festival Fridays – Buckhannon
Head to Jawbone Park starting May 31, to take part in Buckhannon’s Festival Fridays. From 5-8 p.m. bring your lawn chair, set up in the beautiful park, and relax while listening to some great local music. Other than the music, you can view vendor’s artwork, and try some local eats. This is one Almost Heaven festival you won’t want to miss.
Waterfront Wednesdays – Wheeling
Kicking off May 29, Waterfront Wednesdays are the perfect mid-week activity for the whole family. Head to Heritage Port to experience live local musicians preform. Performances include The Wheeling Park High School Specialty Bands, The Wheeling Symphony, and more. Combined the wonderful music and views of the Ohio River and you have the perfect Almost Heaven evening.
