World Scout Jamboree

During July 22 through August 2, West Virginia will welcome 45,000 Scouts and Scouters from more than 165 countries for the World Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. During these 12 days, scouts will participate in activities and unique cultural experiences. Day visitor passes are available and provide the chance to join in on the adventure and fellowship of the World Scout Jamboree. Day visitors have the ability to visit World Point, Global Development Village, Centro Mondial, food houses, sustainability treehouse and Scott Visitors Center while at the Jamboree.

Pickin on the Hill Bluegrass Festival

Visit beautiful Upshur County and enjoy some bluegrass music while you’re there. On June 1, the Pickin on the Hill Bluegrass Festival in French Creek will host a full lime-up of incredible musicians for a full day of music and fun. FestivALL

Celebrate the summer with FestivALL, June 16-30. This year marks the 15th year of FestivALL and will feature more than 600 artists, 80 events, 300 performances and 35 venues. During FestivALL, festival-goers will get to watch as Charleston becomes a work of art and enjoy musical, theater, dance and visual art performances and exhibits. FestivALL is the perfect time to explore the state’s capital city and discover its hip and historic spots. Getting to Charleston and experiencing FestivALL is easy, especially with West Virginia International Yeager Airport just minutes away from downtown Charleston.

Party on the Patio Summer Concert Series

This summer get outside, breathe in the sunshine and fresh air and enjoy the Party on the Patio Summer Concert Series at the beautiful Heritage Station in Huntington. While you’re there enjoying the incredible live music, look out for food vendors selling delicious food and ice-cold beverages. The Party on the Patio Concert Series is perfect for exploring Huntington, hanging out with friends and family and enjoying the sweet summertime. On June 15, embrace your inner artist at the Martinsburg Art Festival. This event will truly be a highlight of the summer.

Jane Lew Fireman’s Art & Craft Festival

On August 30 and September find incredible works of art at the Jane Lew Fireman’s Art and Craft Festival. This festival will feature 200 contemporary and heritage crafters who specialize in glass, wood, leather, jewelry, dried and silk flowers, baskets, ceramics, soaps, candles, paintings and much more. Food vendors will also be at the festival as well to satisfy your appetite after all of your shopping. Located in the beautiful Mountain Lakes region of the state, the Lewis County Convention and Visitors Bureau is the perfect place to visit to find the areas hidden gems.

Grape Stompin’ Festival

Visit the Kirkwood Winery and Isaiah Morgan Distillery on September 21 and 22 for the annual Grape Stompin’ Festival. Held on the third weekend in September each year, the Grape Stompin’ Festival features grape stomping, of course, as well as live music, wine tastings, crafts, distillery tours and more.
