Winterplace Ski Resort features 27 slopes, one terrain park, ten lifts as well as the largest snow tubing park in West Virginia. Winterplace offers a Ski and Snowboard School perfect for first timers, terrain-based learning, private lessons and SkiWee and Snow Explorers, which is a fun program that helps children learn to ski and snowboard using Terrain Based Learning methodology.
Canaan Valley Resort

With 47 trails, Canaan Valley Resort is a great place to ski and snowboard for all ages and experience levels. At Canaan Valley Resort more than 30% of the terrain has been dedicated for beginners and the resorts professional ski instructors are dedicated to teaching first timers and beginners how to ski and snowboard.
