West Virginia Department of Tourism Unveils Two New Lakeside Almost Heaven Swings
Travelers welcomed to experience a screen-free summer in the Mountain State
Charleston, WV – The West Virginia Department of Tourism has announced the addition of two new Almost Heaven swings – one in Jackson County at Cedar Lakes Conference Center and the other in Roane County at Charles Fork Lake.
There are now 43 Almost Heaven photo-op swings available throughout the state, making it easy for travelers to snag a picture-perfect photo during their summer travels. Travelers are encouraged to share their photos on social media using #AlmostHeaven.
“There continues to be an outpouring of interest and excitement in our locally-crafted Almost Heaven swings,” said West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby. “West Virginia is home to the most beautiful landscapes, and I invite travelers to experience a screen-free summer in Almost Heaven. It’s not too late to plan your mountain escape!”
New Swing Locations
- Cedar Lakes Conference Center – Head to the peaceful lakeside of Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley to find a new Almost Heaven Swing perched near the chapel. To get there, turn onto FFA Drive and park in one of the nearby lots for easy access to this relaxing site.
- Charles Fork Lake – This Almost Heaven swing boasts a stunning view of Charles Fork Lake nestled in the town of Spencer in Roane County. Visitors can park in the lot just off Charles Fork Road and follow the gentle slope leading to the swing overlooking the scenic lake below.
