Rail Explorers Announces Newest Almost Heaven Swing
Photo-op swing located at West Virginia’s first railbike excursion
Clay, WV –– The West Virginia Department of Tourism, in partnership with Rail Explorers, has announced yet another new Almost Heaven swing located in Clay, West Virginia. Located at the Rail Explorers depot next to the scenic Buffalo Creek and at the start and end of railbike tours, the swing provides a picturesque spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
“There’s something truly magical about the Almost Heaven Swing,” said Rail Explorers CEO Mary Joy Lu. “More than just a photo opportunity, it’s a place where you can pause, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let the beauty of Buffalo Creek and the surrounding forest fill your senses. It’s the perfect spot to appreciate the natural splendor of West Virginia.”
Rail Explorers, the nation’s leading railbike operator, just opened their West Virginia location earlier this month. The new Elk River location joints the company’s popular sites in California, Rhode Island, New York, Iowa and Kentucky. Riders can easily pedal along the scenic railroad in a comfortable, two or four-person electric-assisted railbike, passing picturesque views of the Elk River, Buffalo Creek and Devil’s Sawmill Waterfall – a stop on the West Virginia Waterfall Trail.
“This Almost Heaven swing makes a wonderful addition to the Rail Explorers experience,”said West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby. “I’m so excited to have such a unique activity like Rail Explorers available in our great state and I encourage all of you to check it out for yourselves this summer and snap a photo on the swing while you’re there.”
Rail Explorer tours are open to the public and pet-friendly. Limited seating is available, and reservations are recommended. Visit RailExplorers.net or call 877-833-8588 to learn more and reserve tickets.
