In Parkersburg, beautiful sites are located at every corner including the Blennerhassett Hotel, Julia-Ann Square Historic District and the Oil and Gas Museum. While in Parkersburg, Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park is a must-see. The beautiful park is accessed via a sternwheeler boat ride and once on-site, visitors can experience tours of the gorgeous mansion and grounds and even take a horse-drawn carriage ride.

Also located in the region is the charming town of Ripley. In Ripley, favorite activities include tastings at Appalachian Distillery, kayaking the Mill Creek Water Trail and dining at the Fairplain Yacht Club, one of the state’s most unique restaurants.

For outdoor recreation visit beautiful North Bend State Park where fishing, boating, swimming, camping and geocaching are all offered. Or experience the North Bend Rail Trail, which includes 72-miles of trail available for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
