Canaan Valley Resort State Park
At Canaan Valley Resort State Park professional ski instructors are on hand to help you master new skills. The resort offers group and private lessons as well as children’s ski and ride programs. A perfect place to learn, the resort has dedicated more than 30 percent of its terrain to beginners including the Critters Crawl, a dedicated area for beginners with a magic carpet lift.
Winterplace Ski Resort

West Virginia Ski Areas Association
If you have a child interested in learning to ski or snowboard, the West Virginia Ski Areas Association’s 4th and 5th Grade Passport Program allows any child in the 4th or 5th grade to ski or snowboard for free at all of West Virginia’s ski areas, Canaan Valley Resort State Park, Oglebay Resort, Snowshoe Mountain Resort and Winterplace Ski Resort.Find More Winter Inspiration
