INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR

Position Details

The West Virginia Department of Tourism Finance Team is accepting applications for the  Inventory Control Coordinator position. Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the position serves a vital role in finance and administration

The Inventory Control Coordinator provides critical operational support to the Finance Team, ensuring and managing state-owned property, tracking fixed assets, reconciling inventory records in wvOasis and in the department’s inventory system. This role is responsible for managing counts, data entry, physical inventory audits, processing documents, overseeing the shipping, receiving and transfer of these assets, as well as the retirement of assets and assisting with basic technology-related logistics for assets. This role will directly support and assist the other members of the finance and administrative team, support a large department and directly support the Chief Financial Officer and the teams under them. 

The role manages the department’s inventory of Fleet Vehicles and all fleet-related responsibilities, including driver safety training, fuel pins, mileage logs and more. In addition to these duties, the position will assist with the department’s records retention and management. 

This position requires physical labor and lifting. 

SALARY $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 Annually

This job opportunity is not in the classified service and is not covered under the Administrative Rule of the WV Division of Personnel. This position is located at the Capitol Complex in Charleston, WV and works full-time, regular business hours, Monday through Friday. It has competitive pay and benefits. Remote work is not permitted.  Limited travel required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university. Preference may be given to candidates with a major in the area of public or business administration, accounting, communications or related field.
    • Substitution: Additional qualifying experience as described below may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required training.

Preference will be given to those with a strong proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is receptive to direction and highly efficient at seeing multiple tasks through to completion. Must be adaptable, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced environment.
