Application cycles for the Tourism Matching Advertising Partnership Program (MAPP) have closed. The Tourism Office is now offering partners advertising assistance through a new cooperative advertising program model. The Tourism Office has absorbed the duties and responsibilities of the West Virginia Film Office. As such, Tourism Office staff continue to monitor, assistant and administer the film tax credit program in West Virginia in an effort to showcase West Virginia as a prime location for film.

The Governor’s Conference on Tourism is held annually and provides an opportunity for West Virginia tourism industry partners to come together to find new and innovative ways to promote West Virginia as a world-class travel and tourism destination.
The West Virginia Tourism Commission serves as an advisory council to the West Virginia Tourism Office. The Commission meets quarterly.
Each year, representatives from the travel and tourism industry gather at the State Capitol Complex for Tourism Day at the Legislature, an event designed to bring awareness to the significant economic and social impact tourism has in West Virginia.
