Fill your Glass with Almost Heaven Cider

Fall is cider season. Whether you prefer yours hot or cold – or an adult version – a cup of this magical autumn drink will put you in the harvest spirit. Cider is an unfermented drink made by crushing fruit – typically apples. It can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic, but either way, it’s full of flavor.

Fresh-Pressed Cider

You’ll find apple butter, apples, and, of course, apple cider at Berkeley Springs’ Apple Butter Festival, which is held annually on Columbus Day weekend in downtown Berkeley Springs. You can get a chance to stir apple butter, listen to music, discover local arts and crafts and more.

Orr’s Farm Market in Martinsburg offers a variety of apples, preserves and jams, gift baskets, baked goods, pies and cider, in addition to the various you-pick items on the farm. In the fall, you can stop by to have a glass of fresh cider and enjoy an apple cider donut.
