Veterans’ Voices - November 14, 2026

This event is free and open to the public. Doors of the Assembly Hall open at 4 pm with free refreshments from 4:30-6:00 pm, followed by an evening concert featuring Derik Board of Commemorate Through Chords (CTC) from 6-7 pm.

Derik S. Board is a U.S. Air Force veteran, singer-songwriter, and advocate for healing through music. After years of military service with the 130th Airlift Wing and working directly with veterans in his community, Derik founded Commemorate Through Chords to empower veterans to turn their stories into songs.

The mission of CTC is “Commemorate Through Chords, ” a veteran-driven music project that transforms the real-life stories of those who’ve served into powerful, emotional songs. Whether through acoustic ballads, gritty rock, or heartfelt country, every track honors the resilience, sacrifice, and healing journeys of veterans. More than just a band – it’s a movement to connect, reflect, and give voice to the experiences that too often go unheard.”
