The Rustic Mechanicals MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Enjoy a “Pay What You Will” preview of The Rustic Mechanicals’ production of William Shakespeare’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.

The performance will take place at 8p at the The VTC Cabaret inside the Uptown Event Center in downtown Clarksburg, WV. Audiences will be asked to “Pay-What-You-Will;” donate an admission price of their choosing.

*At this time, all audience members will be required to wear a mask or cloth face covering and present proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative laboratory test within 72-hours of admission to the performance(s).

In Messina, a group of soldiers returns from the trenches. The world weary Benedict and his friend Claudio find themselves reacquainted with Beatrice and Hero. As memories of conflict give way to a life of parties and masked balls, Claudio and Hero fall madly, deeply in love, while Benedict and Beatrice reignite their own rather more combative courtship. Shakespeare’s comic romance plays out amidst the brittle high spirits of a post-war house party, as youthful passions run riot, lovers are deceived and happiness is threatened before peace ultimately wins out.
