The Magic of Physics Children’s Science Show - October 24, 2025

The Physics and Astronomy Graduate Student Organization (PAGSO) and the WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy will host The Magic of Physics Children’s Science Show at 6:00 PM on October 24 in White Hall, Room B51. ✨🔮🎃

The first 50 children in attendance will receive a Halloween-themed goodie bag! At this event, physics and astronomy graduate students will illustrate a variety of physics and astronomy phenomena at an age-appropriate level using demonstrations to promote an interest in science. Topics include simple mechanics, projectile motion, electricity and magnetism, angular momentum, inertia, and waves and diffraction. 🔍🧲🔭

Attendance is free, but registration is required. Tickets are available at 8:00 AM on October 17 via our friends at the WVU Planetarium and Observatory. (link below) 🎫

This performance will resemble the Spring 2025 Magic of Physics Children’s Show. We encourage families who have seen the show before to allow others to enjoy the magic!
