Park naturalists invite but all youth to “Scout & Explorer Weekend.” A variety of hands-on activities are planned and scheduled outdoors. Open to the public, activities are designed for youth ages 6-16, however, any age is welcome to participate.
Activities planned at Watoga State Park will focus on “NIGHT OWL,” “TREES,” and “ANIMAL HABITATS.” Activities typically include a hike and a hands-on project and last for about an hour.
For activities, times or participation interest by youth groups such as Girl Scouts, please contact Chris Bartley, Naturalist/Interpreter at 304-799-4087.
