“Myths of the Mountains” is our signature lamplight storytelling tour, bringing Appalachian folklore to life in our historic cabins.
What It Is
The Myths of the Mountains series is an evening event where lantern-lit, period-dressed tour leaders guide guests through various cabins, each home to a storyteller who shares tales of Appalachia — ranging from classic folklore to original stories. Guests are transported back to the 1800s, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Gates open at 8:00 PM; groups start roughly every 10 minutes, with the last group at 9:30 PM.
Each tour is approximately 1 hour. Complimentary apple cider is provided.
General admission $8; children 10 and under admitted free with a paying adult
