MACreate: Pottery in the Park - February 24, 2024

Experience Pottery In The Park with the Morgan Arts Council, MACreate Art Class series on Saturday, February 24, 1-3:30pm at the Cacapon Resort State Park, Nature Center just outside of downtown Berkeley Springs with Instructor LeeAnn Brannon.

LeeAnn will explore the art of hand-building, an ancient pottery-making technique used before the pottery wheel was invented. It involves creating forms using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. You will become familiar with 3 of these: PINCH, COILS, and SLABS. We will create two clay projects from these techniques: a coil bowl and a weed pocket to hang on the wall. Join us to see how amazing it can be to create pottery using only your hands and simple tools! Take your creations home with you.
