Join the Morgan Arts Council as they present their MACreate art class featuring Pysanky on Saturday, March 16, 2024. This series is broken up into two classes, one at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, both on Saturday, March 16th.
Pysanky is the designs of colors and symbols of Ukrainian Easter Egg Decorations and the wax-resist method of applying the designs and colorful dyes to poultry eggs. This egg painting technique has been passed down through generations of Central and Eastern European families, dating back to pagan times. Ukrainian pysanky eggs are decorated using unique Easter egg designs that are deeply symbolic and meaningful. Nancy Judd has taught beginning pysanky classes to high school art students and adults.
Tuition: $35 / $30 MAC Members
