Family Forager Fun Run

This event will consist of a one-mile fun run for children ages 6-12 (split into two age groups) combined with an educational activity for the entire family with a focus on learning about what hunter-gatherers collected from our Appalachian woodlands for food and survival. Prizes will be awarded for top male and female race finishers in each age group as well as the top three families to complete the foraging activity. Healthy snacks will also be served and every participant will go home with a special commemorative bandana. Pre-registration until May 31st 2019 is $10 per individual with a maximum registration of $40 per family (i.e., 4 or more participants). Onsite registration the day of the race is $15 for individual and $45/family.
