Explore four open studios including a fine art and pottery studio, blacksmith and broom making shop, a shop full of homemade crafts and artwork, plus the Yew Mountain’s educational workshops. The drive-around Studio Tours are free to the public. Each studio focuses on the process, tools, design and history of our Appalachian art culture. Ove thirty guest artisans will be demonstrating and providing make-and-take activities. Learn the basics and share the enthusiasm of the Appalachian heritage crafts and arts. Discover our mountain back roads in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Talk to the individual artisans and discover their personal stories of inspiration, reflection and creativity. Local artisans will be introducing fresh, unique and limited pieces of works for purchase.
