Berming Man Banked Slalom

Snowshoe Mountain’s”Berming Man Banked Slalom,” brought to you by Oakley, was pretty awesome. So you probably guessed, we’re bringing it back! This event is a snowboard derby by design, but a gathering of the snowboard community by default. The two section course will test both speed and grit. Upon leaving the starting gate, riders will drop into a banked slalom section with multiple turns to test their waxing choice and technique. After speeding through the turns, the course will open up into a mogul field we have crowned, the “Boneyard.” The top portion of the course will be gated, but the “Boneyard” section will be open to rider creativity and bravery.

The contest will consist of the best of two runs. Categories are Men’s, Women’s and Youth (15 and under ). The fastest times of the day take home prizes from event sponsors, along with the “Berming Man” trophy and the honor of having their photo on display in Old Spruce Tavern for a full year of bragging rights as the fastest snowboarder in West Virginia.
