Appalachian Trail Slight Thru Hike | Trails Less Traveled

March 24 @ 11:00 am - 3:30 pm

This tough hike is for braggin’ rights, folks!

We’ll start on the C&O side of the trestle footbridge in Maryland and walk the AT to the Southern border of Harpers Ferry NHP. Just beyond the border, we’ll set foot in Virginia before starting our descent (thank goodness) back to the park. Along the way we’ll talk some history, some nature and some trivia.

This hike is approximately 7 miles round trip, rated Moderate to Difficult, and approximately 4.5 hours. Approximately 1200 ft elevation gain with areas of uneven rocky, icy and muddy footing. Bring lunch or snacks and water.
