The WVHA spring event features how to use medicinal herbs made from plants and trees, wild and edible plants, how to grow mushrooms, what plants to use for first aid, plants for pollinators, as well as forest management and stewardship, forest farming, how to make medicinal teas and most unique how to safely make “Poke Sallet” from our native Phytolacca American, our native Pokeweed. Learn from local herbalists, plant experts, forest professionals to deepen your knowledge of the medicine and gifts found in our woods. There will also be vendors with herbal medicines, live plants, and herbal products.
