Andre Van Damme and the Story of the Charleston Ballet - September 20, 2026

Directed by three-time Emmy Award winner – and CB alum – Deborah Novak, this film chronicles the founding of The Charleston Ballet by Belgian dancer Andre Van Damme in 1956, making it one of the 10 oldest ballet companies in the U.S.

During his more than 60 years as director, Van Damme created more than 100 original dances for his company and impacted the lives of hundreds of students.
