Celebrate the 72nd Annual Heritage Weekend – A One-of-a-Kind West Virginia Tradition
Join us September 26-28, 2025, for Hardy County’s beloved Heritage Weekend – the only countywide festival in West Virginia! Steeped in American history, this special event began in 1953 when residents opened their homes and gardens to raise funds for the Hardy County Public Library. Today, we proudly continue that tradition, sharing our county’s rich past with visitors and community members.
Each year, a historic home is honored with its image preserved on a collectible decorative tile—a tradition begun in 1972. These commemorative tiles are on permanent display at the Moorefield Public Library. We’re excited to announce that the 2025 Tile House is Dodd Hall near Wardensville.
The Hardy County Tour & Craft Association invites you to explore everything Heritage Weekend offers: historic home tours, Civil War encampments, live music, a bustling craft and car show, walking tours, church services, delicious food, and much more across Hardy and Grant Counties. Don’t miss this unforgettable celebration of history, community, and heritage!
