German

Located in downtown Huntington, Bahnhof WVrsthaus and Biergarten is a trendy gastropub that offers a mix of new and fun twists on German and American favorites, as well as more than 20 different beer selections. Try traditional favorites or new favorites like:

  • Haus Brat – mountain mustard, turbokrat, sautéed onion and chive
  • Ger-Maican-Jerk – Jerk spiced pork sausage with fresh peaches and mango ginger slaw
  • Vegan Sweet Italian Sausage – Plant based sausage on bibb lettuce, or house roll, topped with tomato chutney and toasted pine nuts

Swiss

The tiny town of Helvetia was settled by a group of Swiss and German immigrants who came from Brooklyn, New York, in 1869. Today, the towns Hutte Restaurant continues to be known for its original recipes brought from Switzerland more than a century ago. While at the charming restaurant, everyone should try the Helvetia cheese on homemade bread, Zurich sauerbraten served with noodles and, of course, the bratwurst on homemade bread.

Filipino

Philippines Best is a hidden gem located in Parkersburg that serves the best traditional Filipino cuisine. At Philippines Best, you can feast on:

  • Siopao – Traditional Filipino steamed bun with chicken or pork filing
  • Lumpia – Traditional Filipino egg rolls with your choice of beef, pork or vegetable filing

French
