Get Lost in a Corn Maze & Pick Pumpkins this Fall in Almost Heaven
Pumpkin patches. Corn mazes. Family fun and more. Fall is the time to visit local farms and explore activities for the whole family. Fall is a magical time in Almost Heaven, and these places are sure to get you in the spirit.
Get lost in a corn maze
Cooper Family Farms in Milton is a fall paradise filled with corn mazes, hayrides, a corn crawl crib, and cow train. As Halloween approaches, the farm opens a haunted maze for you to get your fill of scares!
During the day, correctly answer trivia questions to traverse your way through their intricate and winding corn maze. As it gets closer to Halloween, expect your trip through the maze to get a little more heart-pounding, as haunts lie in the corn stalks and around every corner. Want to get your bearings first? There’s a zipline for that. Gain a bird’s eye view of the farm on a course made up of 3 towers (the highest exceeds 80 feet). There are 3 zip runs offering more than 1,500 feet of flying fun.
Pick a pumpkin from the patch
Bring the whole family to Gritt’s Farm in Buffalo for a day full of fall activities. Enjoy one of their intricate corn mazes or let the kids pick their own pumpkin from their pumpkin patch!
Every September, they turn their plot of land into one giant playground. They pack their farm chock full of fall festivities: a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, a hay maze, a wagon train pulled by a John Deere tractor, pedal karts, hayrides, apple sling shots and cannons. They even transform a hillside into slides! That’s a lot to conquer in one day, so as the sun goes down, be sure to stop by one of their campfires to wind down.
From September through November, Byrnside Branch Farm in Union has mazes to suit every age. For the kiddies, there is a small 2-acre maze and a hay maze— much easier to navigate than their 18-acre maze. There’s even a twilight maze for those who want to navigate after sunset using glowsticks and flashlights.
Ride a wagon to the pumpkin patch where you can pick the perfect pumpkin from a field full of beautiful oranges and varying sizes. Don’t forget to show off your bounty to the friendly farm animals!
