Yew Mountain Center

The Yew Mountain Center is a experiential education non-profit in Pocahontas County that offers family-friendly learning weekends, field trips, and special events based on the area's rich ecology and culture.

The 500-acre property has mature forests, spring-fed ponds, well-developed trails and a rustic lodge. Four hundred fifty acres are maturing upland hardwood forest with several miles of trails. About 50 acres are pasture, old fields and ponds. The closest pond to the lodge is excellent for swimming, fishing and canoeing.

Our lodge features a central great room with a stone fireplace, a commercial kitchen, a dining/meeting room and six guest rooms, each with a private bath. There is a large deck on the eastern side of the building and a covered porch on the west.

We offer lodging on a per room basis and entire lodge rentals. We offer the space for retreats designed by you, and can provide supplemental programing, along with meals.
