The West Virginia State Capitol Complex invites you to experience the beauty and history of "Almost Heaven," featuring the world-renowned 293-foot gold-leaf dome and the historic Governor’s Mansion.

State Capitol: Guided tours Mon–Fri (9:30 AM – 3:30 PM) and Sat (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM). Book here: https://wvtourism.com/tours/
Governor’s Mansion: Historic tours available Mon–Fri 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) through January 9, 2026.

State Museum: Explore West Virginia’s rich heritage (Call 304-558-0220 for group bookings)
Visitor Logistics:
Parking: Metered street parking available weekdays (quarters or PayByPhone app). Free parking is available in the Capitol Garage and on-site lots on Saturdays and Sundays.
Security: All visitors must pass through security screening at the Lower Rotunda or designated event gates.
Accessibility: A drop-off/pick-up loop is accessible at the Greenbrier/Washington St. intersection.
